A. Guest Speaker -Liz White, Upvote Virginia
Liz White is the founding executive director of UpVote Virginia and the former deputy director of OneVirginia 2021. UpVote Virginia’s issues include:
* Ranked Choice Voting,
* Government Transparency,
* Civic Engagement, and
* Redistricting.
Liz helped grow Virginia’s redistricting reform movement, including developing and leading the Presence at the Polls program, which sends volunteers to polling places during elections to educate voters about nonpartisan issues.
B. Program & Concurrence – Sally Clarkson
Concurrence in the League of Women Voters (LWV) is a formal decision-making process where a League (local, state, or national) agrees to adopt or update a position on an issue that was originally developed and adopted by another League. It allows Leagues to leverage the research and study efforts of other Leagues without starting a new study from scratch.
