DESCRIPTION:During last year’s LWVSHR Annual Meeting\, the Program Com
 mittee was tasked with studying local elections in Hampton Roads. At sev
 eral May meetings\, we will be discussing their report. Participate in o
 ne of them to have a voice in our new position.\nThe committee decided t
 o look at the differences between at-large and district voting in all of
  our jurisdictions.\nWe raise the question:\nShould local governments us
 e a voting system that results in minority representation that is propor
