Bring Identification When You Go to Vote

EARLY VOTING IN PERSON – 9/18 to 10/31/2026
- Virginia voters who are able can vote early in person from Friday, September 18th to Saturday, October 31st.
- Voters who requested a mailed ballot can still vote in person instead if they choose. They should bring along their unused mail-in ballot (if they’ve received it), and return it when they vote in person. Or they can complete the mailed ballot and return it at the early in person voting site.
- Two SUNDAY voting dates are October 18th and October 25th.
- Two SATURDAY voting dates are October 24th and October 31st.
- Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd

Q – Is there an alternative to Mail-In Voting?
A – YES!
An alternative for those age 65 or over or with a disability is to vote curbside, with their ballot brought to the car.
- Curbside voting is available at all early voting sites and at the voter’s assigned local precinct on Election Day.
- A bonus: anyone in the car with a voter who can vote curbside can also vote from the car.
- Dropboxes for mail-in ballots are available outside the main Registrar’s office 24 hours a day, inside all early voting sites during operating hours, and inside every local precinct on Election Day during operating hours.
